Nat Marc (they/them) is a film photographer, educator, and documentarian of Haitian descent, born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Their passion for photography is strongly linked to their commitment to exploring their own story, mentoring young artists, and helping provide resources, access, and community for Black people in artistic spaces.

Marc has worked as a photography educator for the past three years, and their experience as a teacher has only deepened their love for the craft. Marc chooses to shoot in an analog process to deeper connect with their subjects, slow down their process, and to allow space for authentic connection and intention behind the work. Marc has a keen eye for detail, and often invites their subjects to participate in the image-making process. They believe that collaboration yields the most beautiful and meaningful results for them and those they work with.

Marc has taught photography to justice involved youth for the NYC Department of Probation’s initiative NeON Photographers, and most recently at the Museum of the City of New York. Their work has appeared in shows at the P.S. 122 gallery, Kente Royal gallery, and Denise Bibro Fine Art gallery.
